Sweet and Spicy Jalapeño

Ingredients A    
4 lbs. Jalapeño
2 Tbs.  Oil 
2 Tbs.  Soy Sauce 
2 Tbs.  Sugar 
 ¼ + Cup  Water 
     
     
     
     

    

  1. Wear gloves before handling jalapeño. Wash and remove the stems on jalapeños. Cut jalapeños in halves and remove seeds. If prefer extra spicy, allow some seeds to remain.
  2. Pour oil in wok, and stir fry jalapeños in high heat for about 5 minutes. Note: have the wok cover handy as the aroma/scent of jalapeño spiciness may be pungent.
  3. Add soy sauce, sugar, and water to jalapeños. Cover and simmer for about 15 minutes. Stir the jalapeños every few minutes to ensure the flavor is evenly soaked in all the jalapeño pieces. Add 1 tablespoon of water at a time if the sauce appears drying up.
 
This dish can be served hot or cold.
