- Combine Ingredients A, knead the dough till smooth, place it in a large bowl, cover, and allow the dough to rise in a warm place until double, about 1 hour.
- Lightly sprinkle flour on the dough board, place the dough on the board, and divide the dough in half.
- Use half of the dough and roll it out into a rectangular sheet. Using ½ of the Ingredients B, spread oil, sprinkle salt and pepper, and scattered chopped green onion. Making sure all ingredients are spread out evenly on the rectangular dough sheet.
- Roll up the sheet from bottom up. The dough should look like a rod at this point. Then spirally roll the rod shaped dough into a circular shape.
- Lightly dap water on one side of the circular shaped dough and press sesame seeds onto the dough. Then use a rolling pin to gently press the dough into larger circular onion bread (about ½ inch in thickness). (Note: add flour on the dough board as necessary to prevent the dough from sticking to the board.)
- Repeat Steps 3-5 for the second ½ of the dough.
- Pour 2 Tbs. oil in a flat pan and place the onion bread in the pan (sesame seed side down). Add ¼ cup water on top of the bread, cover, and allow the bread to cook in low to medium heat until lightly golden and the water has been absorbed. Turn the onion bread over, cover, and continue to pan fry the second side until lightly golden brown.
- Remove from heat, cut and serve.
