- Mix Ingredients A and knead until dough is formed. Set the dough in a bowl at least twice the size of the dough, and allow the dough to rise for 1 hour in a warm place or doubled. Tip: preheat oven at about 150°F, then turn off heat before placing the dough in the oven. This allows the dough to rise quicker.
- Set aside 1½ cups of flour in a medium size bowl. In a small sauce pan, cook ¾ cup cooking oil until hot, then slowly pour the hot oil into the flour and stir. This mixture should be thick. Warning: watch out, hot oil might splash.
- When ready, roll out the dough on greased dough mat/board and spread oily mixture over the dough evenly. Roll up the dough. Cover with saran wrap. The pastry dough is ready to use. Cut into small pieces as desired and add fillings.
